Ethical quandry, continued

My mom helped me decide. She said "If it was you, would you want to know?"
And I said, "No, of course not." And she said "So don't call." So I'm not calling the kitten people.
The main reason I wouldn't want to know is because of Wimpy. Wimpy was the most wonderful bunny ever. He was a huge (15 pounds, probably) tan colored french lop eared rabbit. We'd take him for walks. He'd let us small kids manhandle him with no complaints. He was quite something. Then on Holloween when I was five or so there was a bad storm and his cage door blew open and Wimpy was no where to be found.
My mum thinks he was killed by Satanists, but I personally think he lived a happy life in some fields nearby. And it was good fun looking for Wimpy-like rabbits in the local wild population and speculating if Wimpy was their granddad. I'm glad no one called to tell us his remains had been found along with other small pets of the area near some satanists alter or whatever.
I might still cave in and call, but I think probably not.
