I ate at Twisted Noodles in Eastgate mall for lunch (notice the plural- I do wonder what the relationship to the Twisted Noodle next to Target in Durham). The green curry w/tofu I had was quite good, the kaffir lime leaves and the waitresses' assertion that there was no MSG seemed to imply fresh curry paste made on premises. The veggies in it were fresh, not frozen, as far as I could tell. Prices were average (about 9 bucks an entree). You could pick what kind of meat you wanted in your dish (though there were extra charges for some varieties) and duck and catfish were on offer, which makes me want to go back for red curry with duck.

The decor was very modern and comfortable for the narrow space. The staff was attentive, service is far far better than the Twisted Noodle in Durham, so no worries there.

The only real problem was the fact that they are next to a nail salon and need to get the ventilation sorted. Until my nose adjusted the smell was fierce and unpleasant. And the view of the parking lot could be over looked, but they could use some screens on the windows to improve that.

I liked it better than Thai Palace, for sure. Not better than Merlion, but they had different dishes, so its a bit apples and oranges there. In sum: I'd eat again at Twisted Noodles in Eastgate.
