Sep. 5th, 2005 12:40 pmI can't stop boggling about the disaster. I mean, I knew that the government was incompetent. But goddamn. And it seems like W et al are going to get off scott free. At the very least, their sheer callousness exhibited via their slow response needs to be appropriately vilified. SIgh.
Condi (that shoe buying while NO drowned oreo) was quoted as saying the following at her "oh no, Bush isn't racist" press-op (sorry, dear, but your credibility isn't running so high right now, not buying it): Asked to say a few words from the pulpit, Rice, a preacher's daughter, said: "The Lord Jesus Christ is going to come on time." She added: "If we just wait."
Once again, the rapturist bent comes to the fore. Fucking hell!! Why doesn't this apocalyptic orientation of our highest public officials get more attention? These are the folks with their hands on the big red button!!
