Boy am I silly...

Minor epiphany:

I realized that a big part of my problem in writing my PhD proposal is that I'm too focused on the research and not focused enough on the outcomes of the research. I need to treat this thesis like a book and outline it quite a bit more carefully and then flesh out and summarize the outline for my PhD proposal. Not that big of a difference, but I think it'll have some positive impacts on the organization, which has been a struggle. It might also show me how to fit in the GIS/botanical survey with the archeobotany a bit better.

I just clicked on "friends" to see what would pop up under that link. I must say, LiveJournal is exceptionally polite in explaining why I might not have any friends listed. Not one of their possibilities was "Maybe she doesn't have any friends."
