Spinning in cricles, stuck in cement
Oct. 30th, 2005 03:21 pmThe morning was pleasant, I made a nice breakfast. Roasted potatoes and carrots with herbs de provence and garlic. And a pear clafouti (Funny, the picture on the webpage is incorrect. Martha! Get with the program!). I modified the recipe a little by using dried cranberries instead of dried cherries (the sticker shock of dried cherries is too much for frugal me), I used only a tablespoon of sugar (the Mr. and I don't like sweet things so well) and I added a bit of cinnamon (any opportunity for cinnamon is a good one). Very simple recipe, very easy and I will certainly make it again (the Mr. had seconds! excellent).
Okay, there comes a point where one just has to admit that the fact that a task being boring is not grounds for not doing it. I really need to get some work done on various projects and can't seem to motivate myself to do so. Its gonna be boring. Noodling on the internet is going to be boring. There isn't any thing that I could do this afternoon that won't be boring. So I should get on with things.
